This internet stuff is nifty!
May 9 2026
It has already been a few days since this website has went up, and I'm again surprised by how fast time flies sometimes... And there's also been quite a few developments since then, so let's talk about em.
After the website went live, I began to look for webrings to join...and looking for them was a really interesting time, since I'm very very new to this whole "indie website neighborhood" thing. So many people with their own sites, their own personality, their own individuality... It's amazing how much variety there is, and being able to be a part of that is really cool. I applied for a bunch of webrings, and i actually got accepted into one already: The Indie Webring! Check their widget out on the misc. tab, it looks cool!
Oh yeah, i just remembered: This website also now has RSS fuctionality! You probably already know if you saw that big orange RSS button on the Posts tab. If you don't know what RSS is, it's basically an internet mailing system...but for websites, primarily used for blogs and stuff. You can subscribe to my blog by clicking on the orange RSS button, then copying the code into what's called an RSS Reader: Software that reads the RSS information and turns it into readable posts. I am personally using Feeder, it's an extension and it works nicely enough. (though i don't really like how the lowest feed update times are locked behind a paywall... atleast the lowest FREE one is 30 minutes, which isn't so bad... but STILL!)
Other than that, the rest of the stuff that's been happening with the website is a few bug fixes, making the website more mobile-friendly, and... Oh yeah! A bunch of people wrote stuff on the guestbook! Thank you to everyone who has done that, it was awesome to see and i really appreciate it. I hope to see more people writing there soon! ^^
OTHER THAN WEBSITE STUFF...
I recently finished watching the entirety of Twin Peaks! The first two seasons, then the movies, and then the third season. My god. What a show. I LOVED it. I see why this series is so well acclaimed, it's incredibly memorable and has taken root in the back of my mind, and i doubt it will get out of there any time soon...
That show, and David Lynch's overall style, has grealy influenced me in how i think about media and how to approach writing them. I am currently working on-and-off on a Petscop-inspired project, and i think that show has given me quite a bit of fuel to come up with more crazy ideas for events and themes and whatnot. I really can't wait to get that project all built up and running... I'm excited to see how people will react to it.
I have written down so many ideas that it's genuinely difficult to keep track of them all... I will definitely need to make some sort of design document for that project, since i still haven't already done that... MAN i want to do so much, but motivation is being quite the kicker for me. I have all these ideas, but i can't move myself enough to actually get back into the groove of building those ideas into reality. Oh well, once i have something to show, i WILL show it ASAP and with pride.
Wawawowza, that was a bunch of text, i'm getting sleepy! It feels good to write my thoughts out like this, whether or not people actually find this stuff interesting to read, which by the way... Thank you for reading! I really appreciate it. Have a nice cool day, ya goober
